Farmers in Iowa have added “prairie strips” alongside rows of corn and soybeans to help halt serious environmental challenges inherent to farming. Prairie strips now cover some 22,000 acres in the U.S. and are growing in popularity each planting season. They are also bringing pops of color and unexpected beauty to the cropland.
